In a world that told them how to think, she showed them how to live.
That’s the tagline. Another coming of age movie, based around the lives of four girls studying in Wellesley College in the early 80s. Julia Roberts plays an art teacher who shows the girls that there is more to life than just getting married and having babies. The story has been told a hundred times before and will be told as many times more.
Its definitely not Julia’s greatest performance, and its not her worst either. But I’d recommend rewatching ‘Step Mom’ if you like Julia in such roles. Worth a watch once at least though.
