Shopping at Nike

On Saturday I had an experience which is very rare in India – I was delighted at the knowledge of a salesman.

With my flat feet, buying a shoe is not as simple as walking into a store and picking up one that I like. I need shoes that will support my feet and take me through the day. Most shoe store salesmen have no clue about my problem and which models will solve my problem. So I usually do a bit of research on the net on models by maker and then set out to buy one of the models I have short-listed.

So when I walked into Nike, I already had a list of three models which are meant specifically for people with my problem. But the moment I told the salesman my issue, he rattled off the models even before I could open the note in my mobile phone. Not only that, he also showed me a few more designs that I didnt know helped my condition.

All in all, it was an impressive performance and I am very glad I went in there.
